Surprise! Fed IG knows nothing about the Fed!

Ryan Grimm @ Huffpo has what should be considered an unbelievable article about the Inspector General in charge of overseeing and auditing the Federal Reserve. However, given the bizarro financial world we are living in, unbelievable has lost its meaning. The look on Congressman Alan Grayson's face says it all.

Now, I think her job is one that we would be better off outsourcing and off-shoring.

"We do not have jurisdiction to directly go out and audit reserve bank activities specifically," she said, though the IG's Web site proudly declares that her office "conducts independent and objective audits, inspections, evaluations, investigations, and other reviews related to programs and operations of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System."

It seems the good 'ol boy network is still intact.
